Taking atorvastatin and amlodipine together may increase the level or effect of atorvastatin by affecting hepatic/intestinal enzyme CYP3A4 metabolism. Therefore, the combination should be used with caution and patients should be monitored for increased side effects or increased levels of atorvastatin.
