Individuals with severe liver or kidney problems, including those on dialysis, should avoid this drug. Additionally, pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take bempedoic acid as it may harm the fetus or infant. Children under 18 years old should not take this medication as its safety and effectiveness haven't been established in this age group.
