Lufenuron is primarily effective against fleas, but it doesn't kill adult fleas directly. Instead, it works as an insect growth regulator, preventing flea eggs and larvae from developing into adults. This breaks the flea life cycle, eventually reducing the flea population. Lufenuron is often used in combination with other medications that kill adult fleas for more comprehensive flea control. It's also used in some cases to treat fungal infections in animals.
