No, Estring and NuvaRing are not the same. Estring contains estradiol and is used for treating menopausal symptoms, whereas NuvaRing contains etonogestrel and ethinyl estradiol for contraception. Both are xxxx rings, but they serve different purposes and contain different hormones.
