ProAir HFA albuterol sulfate is a medication used to treat and prevent bronchospasm in people with reversible obstructive airway disease, such as asthma. It is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm. The active ingredient, albuterol, works by relaxing the muscles around the airways to improve breathing.
