Do not take Bystolic if you have a severely low heart rate, heart block greater than first degree, are in cardiogenic shock, have decompensated heart failure, sick sinus syndrome (unless you have a permanent pacemaker), severe liver problems, or are allergic to nebivolol or any of its ingredients. Knowing contraindications helps to avoid serious health risks associated with inappropriate use of the medication.
