Each Robaxacet Extra Strength caplet contains 400 mg of methocarbamol, a muscle relaxant. It also contains 500 mg of acetaminophen, an extra-strength pain reliever.
The combination is used for temporary relief of pain associated with muscle spasms, including back pain, strained or sprained muscles, and tense neck muscles. Methocarbamol helps relax tense muscles, while acetaminophen reduces pain.
For context:
- One caplet: 400 mg methocarbamol + 500 mg acetaminophen
- Two caplets: 800 mg methocarbamol + 1,000 mg acetaminophen
- Eight caplets: 3,200 mg methocarbamol + 4,000 mg acetaminophen
Do not take Robaxacet Extra Strength with another product containing acetaminophen or methocarbamol, as this can lead to an accidental overdose. Methocarbamol may also cause drowsiness or dizziness, so avoid driving, alcohol, and other sedating substances until you know how it affects you.
