Finasteride is primarily used to treat hair loss and benign prostatic hyperplasia by reducing the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It does not increase the size of hair or any other body part; rather, it helps prevent further hair loss and may promote hair regrowth in some individuals. There is no evidence to suggest that finasteride increases size in any other context.
