You can drink water immediately after taking Zofran (ondansetron)—there is no required waiting period.
- Regular tablet: Swallow it with water.
- Orally disintegrating tablet (ODT): Let it dissolve completely on your tongue and swallow with saliva; water is not required, but you may drink afterward.
- If you are actively vomiting, start with small sips rather than drinking a full glass at once.
Follow any special fluid restrictions given by your healthcare provider.
