The usual dose of dihydroergotamine nasal spray is one spray (0.5 mg) in each nostril, for a total of two sprays (1 mg) per migraine attack. You should not use more than 4 sprays (2 mg) within 24 hours, and not more than 8 sprays (4 mg) per week. Always follow your doctor's instructions for dosing.
