The AveoTSD creates suction through its hollow silicone bulb:
- You place the tip of your tongue inside the opening.
- You gently squeeze the bulb, pushing air out.
- When you release the bulb, it tries to return to its original shape, creating lower air pressure inside the chamber.
- The soft silicone forms a seal around the tongue. The pressure difference gently holds the tongue forward, preventing it from falling backward toward the airway during sleep. It does not attach to the teeth or mechanically clamp the tongue.
The suction strength depends on how deeply the tongue is inserted and how much the bulb is compressed. To remove it, press the sides or squeeze the bulb to let air enter and break the seal.
