Hadlima usually starts helping after a few weeks, but it can take longer depending on what you’re treating.
A practical range:
- Some people notice improvement in about 2 weeks.
- Many need 8–12 weeks to feel a clearer effect.
- For some conditions, full benefit can take 3 months or longer.
Hadlima is adalimumab, a TNF-blocker biologic used for inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn’s/ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. The NHS says adalimumab “takes a few weeks to work” and may take longer depending on the condition; RheumInfo’s Hadlima patient guide says effects may start around 2 weeks but may take up to 12 weeks.
Don’t stop it just because you do not feel better right away unless your prescriber tells you to. But contact your doctor promptly if you develop signs of infection, fever, worsening cough, shortness of breath, or feel very unwell, because Hadlima can lower your immune system’s ability to fight infections.
