Trimbow is used as a daily maintenance inhaler for adults with:
- COPD — especially moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, to help reduce breathlessness, wheezing, cough, and COPD flare-ups/exacerbations.
- Asthma — in some countries, for adults whose asthma is not adequately controlled with other maintenance inhalers.
It is a triple-therapy inhaler containing beclometasone + formoterol + glycopyrronium. Beclometasone reduces airway inflammation, while formoterol and glycopyrronium help open the airways so breathing is easier.
Trimbow is not a rescue inhaler. It should not be used for sudden breathlessness or an acute COPD/asthma attack; a fast-acting reliever inhaler is used for that.
