There is no validated public storage guidance for reconstituted retatrutide because retatrutide remains investigational and is legally available only through authorized clinical trials. Lilly does not sell approved retatrutide vials for home reconstitution.
Do not rely on generic peptide instructions such as “refrigerate for 30 days.” The stability depends on the actual formulation, diluent, sterility, concentration, vial materials, and handling conditions—and an online vial may not contain what its label claims. The FDA states that retatrutide cannot be used in compounding and warns that improperly stored injectable GLP-1 products may have quality problems.
The safest action is:
- Do not inject or further use the vial.
- Keep it isolated from food and inaccessible to children while arranging disposal.
