For Bricanyl Turbuhaler (terbutaline 0.5 mg/dose), the usual Canadian dosing for adults and children 6 years and older is:
- 1 inhalation as needed for breathing symptoms.
- If needed, a second inhalation can be taken, preferably after waiting about 5 minutes.
- Do not normally exceed 6 inhalations in any 24-hour period.
So it isn’t usually prescribed as a set number of “times per day”; it is generally used as needed, up to the daily maximum.
