The most common side effects of TIVICAY (dolutegravir) are:
- Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
- Headache
- Fatigue or tiredness
These were the most commonly reported moderate-to-severe adverse reactions in adult clinical trials.
Other side effects that may occur with HIV medicines such as dolutegravir include nausea or occasional dizziness.
More serious but less common reactions include severe allergic reactions or rash and liver problems. Seek medical attention promptly for symptoms such as a severe rash, facial or throat swelling, trouble breathing, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or persistent abdominal pain.
Do not stop TIVICAY without speaking with your healthcare provider, because consistent HIV treatment is important for maintaining viral suppression.
