Quinagolide is a prescription dopamine agonist used to treat high prolactin levels (hyperprolactinemia).
By lowering prolactin released from the pituitary gland, it can help improve symptoms such as irregular or absent menstrual periods, unwanted breast milk production, infertility related to high prolactin, and sexual or hormonal problems. It may also be used for prolactin-secreting pituitary tumors (prolactinomas).
Quinagolide is sold under the brand name Norprolac in some countries.
