Glycopyrronium bromide is a long-acting bronchodilator mainly used to help control symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
In inhalers such as SeebriĀ®, it works by relaxing the muscles around the airways, helping them stay open and making breathing easier. It is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) and is intended for regular maintenance treatment, not for the rapid relief of sudden breathing attacks.
